I’m Zoe, an artist proudly based in the picturesque area that is East Devon. I have a deep appreciation for the stunning seaside, the charming animals that inhabit it, and the breathtaking beauty of nature around us. These elements are a constant source of inspiration for my work, fuelling both my creativity and passion. Every day, as I walk along the beach or wander through the countryside, I find new ideas blooming in my mind, waiting to be captured on canvas.
My journey into art began during regular trips to the Isles of Scilly in the early 2000s. The vibrant colors are truly inspirational. When the sun shines, you could almost imagine you’re in the Caribbean, until you dip your toes in the water! After spending years photographing the scenery and visiting galleries, I embraced acrylic painting as a way to capture the essence of these islands. It’s a learning process, and one I’m still enjoying every day. Each brushstroke is an adventure, showcasing my interpretation of the beauty that surrounds us and expressing my innermost feelings. I adore experimenting with different techniques and styles, and I am constantly evolving as an artist.
When I’m not painting, you’ll find me walking my two cocker spaniels, Noodles and Monty, or spending quality time with family and friends. These moments are as precious as the artwork I create, providing me with joy and laughter. Whether it’s a quiet day at home or an adventurous outing with my loved ones, I cherish every experience. I believe that art thrives in an environment filled with love, laughter, and connection, and I strive to incorporate that into everything I do.
